Brunei calls for public blood donation

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) — The Blood Donation Center of Brunei has called on the public to help boost the national blood supplies, local media reported on Wednesday.
The center has launched blood donation campaigns in several regions of the country, and the public can book their slots online prior to making a contribution, according to the local daily Borneo Bulletin.
Brunei is an oil-rich Southeast Asian country located in the northern part of Borneo Island, with about 340,000 citizens and a high level of social welfare. ■
